The Platten Building is undergoing
revitalization efforts with plans to turn he upper 2
stories at approximately 17,000 square feet into 23
completely redesigned & exclusive urban residential
units.
Plans for the building include an exterior elevator to
service the apartments along with a secured entry
system. Units are to be redesigned and
finished in higher end form with kitchen and bath
receiving ceramics, unique hard wood cabinetry, and
stainless steel modern ranges,
microwaves & hoods, dishwashers, and refrigerators.
Heating and cooling to be provided in rent with a high
efficacy system. Historic elements will be kept whenever
possible for a distinctive mix of historic and new
loft construction. Tenants will all have in unit hot water
and separately metered electrical systems. Both the 2nd
& 3rd stories will have coin-op laundry rooms to service
tenant laundry needs.
The exterior of the Platten building to receive a cleaning, fascia and tuck-point repairs with the intention to restore the building's exterior to a more original condition.

After a long wait to get approval demolition finally begins today.
We
are terminating utility connections to the upper floors and tooling up.
Everything is in place. Once we get to work and see how the going is we
will
be able to announce a timline.
